In the work “A Reliquary Wormery”; a response to Hereford Cathedral, a response to the anthropogenic climate change we find ourselves faced with. A pilgrimage ritual of offering up your food waste, which will break down, feed the worms living inside and, in return they will produce a natural fertilizer, replenishing our depleted soils.
Created with black grog clay to mimic the humus layer we so desperately need to protect and supported by our native ash, a species we are slowly losing.
An ode to the ecosystem, a shrine to biodiversity, a reliquary for regeneration.
